British Columbia’s Latest Tech Pilot Draw Invites 76 Candidates

In the 23rd draw of the year, BC PNP’s Tech Pilot is a consistent route to Canadian permanent residence for thousands of tech workers in the province. 

The Nov. 19 British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) Tech Pilot draw sent 76 invitations to candidates working in BC’s technology industry. 

What is the BC PNP Tech Pilot?

The BC PNP Tech Pilot is part of BC’s overall provincial nominee program strategy. The program, which was renewed until at least June 2021

BC’s Tech Pilot provides VIP Canadian immigration service. The pilot program offers priority processing and work permit support to ensure an applicant has continuous status throughout the processing of the application. 

It also features a dedicated BC PNP concierge for tech employers. This concierge provides tailored information and navigation assistance for immigration programs and processes.

Who is eligible for the program?

Candidates wishing to apply to the program must meet the following criteria: 

  1. A job offer from a BC employer in one of the 29 eligible occupations listed below. This offer must be for a year or longer and have at least 120 days remaining at the time of submission. 
  2. An active profile with BC PNP
  3. Language scores demonstrating at least a CLB score of 4 or higher
  4. A payment of $1,150 at the time of application but registration is free
